Free Legal Advice

We provide free legal advice to people on low incomes independently, fearlessly, efficiently, and with integrity, but always in a friendly and courteous manner.

More about what we do

Covid-19 temporary arrangements

As Government guidance changes, we will evolve to meet those challenges. We ask you not to attend the Centre if you have symptoms, or if you have been in recent contact with someone who has tested positive.

Empowering clients

South Westminster Legal Advice Centre is staffed entirely by volunteers. Our lawyers have a huge breadth of expertise, working as solicitors, barristers, or in-house lawyers for companies or Government departments.

We aim to empower our clients, not to make them dependent on us. We offer free legal advice, both when a dispute has arisen, and in non-contentious matters.

Client stories

Our clients come to us with real problems. The following are a few real examples - names and images have been changed to preserve confidentiality.
