James MacLachlan

Trustee

James qualified as a solicitor in 1981 and was a London-based partner for over 25 years at the major international law firm of Baker & McKenzie from which he retired in 2016.

He remains on the Law Society role as a non-practising solicitor. James now devotes his time to various pro bono roles, including for SWLAC where he has been a trustee since 2018, consulting with a small number of clients in the corporate sector and doctoral work in the field of modern European art.
